“These elegant solar structures will give us a huge area of shade and a welcoming space for our visitors, all while producing clean energy and meeting our customers’ fast-growing desire for green camping facilities,” – Pat Hittmeier, President, KOA.
Lazydays KOA RV Campgrounds
The Lazydays KOA project consists of two PowerParasols® solar shade structures covering 30 RV campsites at 5151 S Country Club Rd in Tucson. The project was the first of its kind at an RV campground when it was completed in October 2015. The unique application of solar and shade has since increased camper traffic and continues to provide clean renewable energy to KOA while cooling campers during the day and providing comfortable lighting for security at night.
